Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Ruan Zongze Attends the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition Queensland Final

On 16 May 2026, the 25th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition Queensland Final for College Students, the 19th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition Queensland Final for Secondary School Students and the 6th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition Queensland Final for Primary School Students were held in Brisbane. Chinese Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze attended the award ceremony and delivered a speech. The competitions were hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane and co-organized by the Confucius Institutes of Griffith University and Queensland University of Technology. More than 90 people participated, including contestants, instructors and parents.

Dr Ruan said that Chinese language serves a solid bridge connecting the friendship between the people of China and Australia, and the excellent performance of the contestants are impressive. He welcomed Australian friends to take advantage of the visa-free opportunity and visit China more often, gain a better understanding of Chinese culture, and become envoys between the two countries.

The students engaged in interactions actively, and the atmosphere was cheerful and friendly.
